Our Fees

Our Fees
We are happy to provide you with the fee for consultations, vaccinations, neutering, etc. should you wish to call us at 775.827.5289. Sometimes it is necessary to see a pet before we can give an accurate estimate (e.g. for neuterings as the cost is size dependant, for dental work as the cost depends on the severity of disease) and if so our office team or veterinary technicians will see you at the practice and provide you with an estimate.

We can tell you that our fees are in line with those of similar veterinary hospitals in the area of Reno, NV.

As with everything else, you get what you pay for. For us to offer the very best of care for your pet means we have to invest heavily in equipment and facilities. We also only employ excellent and experienced staff and we reward them accordingly to ensure their loyalty and dedication. All this means that our fees may be a bit higher than some other practices where their cost base is lower than ours would be. We will not compromise on care and as such our fees are structured to cover the extra costs associated with this pledge.

Detailed invoicing and estimates
When you see us with your pet we will, before proceeding with any investigations or procedures, give you as accurate an estimate of our fees as we can.

We are very conscious that it is your absolute right to understand how exactly any fee is reached and as such we insist on absolute transparency in this regard. We will always provide a detailed breakdown of how a fee is reached – e.g. consultations, medications, anaesthesia, investigations, hospitilisation etc. – and you will always receive a detailed invoice when settling an account. We are of course happy to discuss with you any aspect of how a fee is reached – please ask if you have a query.

There are times though that it will be very difficult to estimate the costs as we cannot always say at the outset of a case how long it will be before we reach a definitive diagnosis or how long before we see a response to treatment. If this is the case we will let you know and discuss with you how best to proceed.

Modern veterinary care
The costs associated with modern veterinary care can sometimes be quite substantial. And long term treatment of chronic conditions can also be very expensive.

For these reasons we strongly advise that you take out Pet Health Insurance for your pet. We have several different insurance company’s to choose from. Most if not all insurance company’s require owner’s to pay all veterinary bills out of pocket and then the company will reimburse a portion of the cost.

Having your pet insured allows us the freedom to offer the best of care without worrying that we are spending too much or without you worrying if you can afford it. It allows us to put all our efforts into what we are trained to do – to diagnose and cure your pet to the best of our ability and by using all the modern diagnostic tests and medications we have at our disposal.
