PERSONALLY…
I grew up on a wheat and cattle ranch outside of Winfield, Kansas and attended Kansas State University. I have two grown children, Amy who lives in Florida with her four children and Chris who lives in Reno and also has four children. My pets include two German short-hair pointers; “Mandy” and “KT” which literally take up all of my free time. My Two cats, “Cletus” and ” Momma Cat” round out my family. Along with spending time with them, my hobbies include woodworking, metal working, hitting the golf course with my buddies and spending time on my ranch in Kansas.

Personally:
My first job out of veterinary school was working on dogs, cats and exotics. I soon realized I preferred to work on cats so I found a job at the Cat Clinic of Little Rock in 1997. Since then I have worked in predominantly feline practices starting with my own hospital The Cat Clinic of Acadiana and Exotic Animal Hospital from 1999-2003. We moved to California to be closer to my family in 2003 (Civic Feline Clinic) then to Reno in 2006 (Feline Medical Center). I live in Reno with my husband of 26 yrs, 2 teenage childre, 4 horses, 16 cats, a dog, a goat and a snake. In my free time I love to garden, take photgraphs, read and spend time with the family.

PERSONALLY…
My husband Greg and I moved to the Carson Valley in the spring of 2000 after I graduated from veterinary school. We brought our two dogs, Wyatt (a Yellow Lab) and Nikka (a German shepherd), and our two cats (Gato& Tavi) with us in our moving van. Our family grew in 2005 to include our daughter Emily and became complete in 2007 when our son Jack arrived. Our senior pets have adjusted well to the toddler and babbling baby who are now our focus. We still manage to get the entire canine and kid crew up to Lake Tahoe for hikes, but now in addition to dog treats we pack diapers and wipes! Emily made her alpine skiing debut this winter and Jack enjoys all the activities from his baby backpack.
