Dental Care…It’s Vital

It is estimated that 80% of cats over three will have some degree of dental or periodontal disease and by older age many cats will be in dire need of treatment to prevent pain, discomfort and premature death from undiagnosed and untreated dental disease.

Dental disease can, quite simply, cause your pet severe pain and discomfort and may even result in a shortening of their life due to organ failure from constant bacterial seeding of the liver, heart and kidneys from gum infections.

With a good diet and preventative care with the assistance of your vet this is so very easily prevented. We check all pets teeth during the annual health assessment & vaccination. Our technician staff will always check your pets teeth for you free of charge if requested.

If there is a problem they will make an appointment for you to see the vet who can then decide on the best course of treatment.

In short do not underestimate the importance of looking after your cat’s teeth. Oral care may be one of the most important things you can do for your pets health and well-being. If in doubt, call us to arrange a dental check up 775.827.5289.
